THE UNHEARD

Noticing a resurgence in storytelling since the emergence of digital platforms, I decided to have a look back in the history of storytelling, following the tracks of cabinets of curiosity and victorian natural history museums. This led me to create this piece, a vessel for sensory stimulation.

The object is intended to draw the viewer in by creating a sense of curiosity. The eyepiece in the box acts as a threshold into another space, and by looking through this the viewer is confronted with a scene. “The Unheard” is a glimpse into a private world, a world that is not often shared.
